About the Event
THEi Virtual Career Fair

THEi Virtual Career Fair of the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi), aims to connect THEi students with prospective employers with graduate jobs and internship opportunities through the live interactive platform.
It will be an excellent occasion for employers of various industries to introduce graduate positions and internship/ work-integrated learning opportunities and to engage with THEi students from our faculties, including:

Frequently Asked Questions


Employers

No, there is no size limit of files. Employers can add documents in PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint format or videos in YouTube or Vimeo format. The maximum number of files per virtual booth is 50.

Yes, you may edit your booth settings at any time via the booth setup link before 23 March 2023 . However, major change is not recommended after this date for testing purposes.

Yes, this can be arranged via video chat where employers can interview students individually in a private chatroom.

Unlimited, you may create user accounts for your colleagues as the Booth Rep Account via the Booth Set-up Link. To distinguish a booth representative, you can keep the first name as “Booth name Rep” and enter the actual name of the booth representative as the last name. For example, setting “Company A Rep” as the first name and “Chris Wong” as the last name will show “Company A Rep Chris Wong” in the chatroom.

Yes, at least one representative should be on-duty to answer student enquiries. You may also list the Chat Timing schedule of your booth representatives in your virtual booth.

Yes, you can. Only students who have published their profiles can be searched.

Students

You will receive a confirmation email at the account you specified in the registration form.

Students are encouraged to interact with employers via the Chat Room. Interaction can be conducted via public/ private chat, audio or video call. You can refer to the Employers’ Chat Timing Schedule at each of the virtual booths to plan ahead.

Yes, there is a job board available at the student interface. You may search for suitable positions by the company and apply directly to the company.

Yes, the virtual career fair should be just as accessible on most mobile devices’ up-to-date web browsers.

No. Some employers may welcome a video chat, but a webcam is not required to participate.

For login enquiries, please email theicareerfair2023@getvfairs.io for assistance. For enquiries related to the virtual career fair or technical support, you may visit THEi’s Information Booth for immediate assistance on the event date.

Make sure you do NOT post personal information such as phone number or email address in group chats. Do NOT ask personal questions, or be too informal in your chatting. Treat this as the opportunities to network with your potential employers and be reminded to use clear, professional business communication and avoid any grammatical errors.

First, you will need to create a personal profile and upload your CV. Each student can only upload one CV at a time. You may simply submit your job application by clicking the Apply button from the job portal.Should you want to be searchable by employers, please be reminded to display your profile.

If you have applied through the application system on this virtual platform, yes, you may. Visit the lobby and click Manage Job Applications to withdraw your applications.

You can download the company brochures to your Swag Bag as you visit different virtual booths. Upon check out, visit your Swag Bag from the lobby to email or download all the company brochures to yourself.
